The Defense and National Security mission houses a global network of DOD National Security stakeholders, including all branches of service and the National Guard as well as military affiliated first responders. The FirstNet program has experienced substantial growth within this sector over the last 24 months. This session will provide information on capabilities related to the National Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN), emphasizing FirstNet’s role in PSAP connectivity with mobile responders, redundancy and integration for elements that are critical to the security of national facilities and military bases. It will also cover broadband infrastructure improvements under the MOBILE NOW Act, showcase real-world military use-cases, and discuss the advantages to LTE/LMR ROIP integration for DoD and federal stakeholders.
