- Three and a half decades of combined Information Technology, Communications and Cybersecurity experience holding positions that range from System/Network Administrator, Cybersecurity Trainer/Consultant, Information Assurance Program Manager (IAPM), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Data Officer (CDO), and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
- Total of 28 years of federal service to include 4 years active-duty Air Force, then 16.5 years as the CIO/CISO/CDO (and prior as Deputy CIO) at Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and currently as the Chief Technology Advisor (CTA) to the USAID Director of Security. As such was in charge of assuring IT and critical communications for all CID personnel, along with Law Enforcement systems and data capabilities for over 25,000 LE professionals worldwide 24x7x365. This included the IT portions of multiple continuity-of-operations (COOP) and disaster recovery, both pre-planned events and as response to emergency critical incidents.
- Recognized at Army-level as the "2005 Army Information Assurance Professional of the Year", at the DoD-level as the "2020 DoD CIO Award Winner", and at the Federal-level as a "2021 Federal 100 Award Winner", the latter for providing solutions that benefited all of the DoD Criminal Investigative Organizations (DCIOs) and Federal/State/Local LE customers of the FBI/CBP/DHS, respectively.
