Let's face it, pursuits are fun but stressful. They challenge us, test our skills and abilities, and are extremely dangerous to the officer, suspect and the public. This session is designed to provide perspective on what is going on in the field during a pursuit, introduce you to tactics and technologies that are available to officers, and provide you with information on some challenges that you may face when trying to communicate with your officers. This training is dispatch-focused and is not specific to any agency or state.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, attendees will be familiar with the safety considerations involved with vehicle and foot pursuits.
By the end of this session, attendees will be familiar with the echo procedure and when it is meant to be utilized.
By the end of this session, attendees will be familiar with some of the technologies and techniques used by officers in the field.
