This presentation is intended for managers and executive leadership to discuss how to make wellness a priority and how to implement a comprehensive array of policies and practices to support the mental and physical health of employees. The presenters will discuss best practices for developing necessary resources to support wellness and resiliency programs, including leveraging partnerships and working within and outside existing budgets. The latter part of the presentation will involve the establishment of the nation’s first FORWARD Center for First Responder Wellness.
Learning Objectives:
Participants become familiarized with pragmatically-relevant practices to implement to help ensure first responder wellness.
Participants will learn how the multiple facets of wellness can be integrated into a holistic center in a way that is workable and effective.
Participants will come away with an understanding of challenges one is likely to face when developing a holistic wellness center, as well as suggestions based on “lessons learned” on how to best overcome any obstacles they may encounter.
