First responders often embrace a culture of compartmentalization, concealing the emotional toll of their roles. This has resulted in overwhelming stress and unaddressed trauma. Prioritizing self-awareness and listening to one's own body is crucial to mitigating additional stress and trauma, promoting overall well-being within this challenging profession.
