Human trafficking continues to be an epidemic in the United States. It is estimated that 50 million people are in a situation of modern slavery globally, and that number has risen by ten million in the past five years, according to a 2022 report by the International Labour Organization. This session will provide updated information on the types and incidence of trafficking in the US and provide telecommunicators with information to assist in the recognition of an incident involving human trafficking.
