Vanderbilt Emergency Communications (VECOM)
Harley Watts joined the Vanderbilt Lifeflight team in July of 2023; he currently serves as the Manager of Vanderbilt Emergency Communications (VECOM) and as Director of the Regional Medical Communications Center for the Mid Cumberland Region of Tennessee, including Nashville and the twelve surrounding counties. Prior to his time with Vanderbilt Lifeflight, he served as an Emergency Communications Supervisor for Metro Nashville Department of Emergency Communications.
Harley completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Services Management at Bethel University. Alongside his communications expertise, he is also a Certified Firefighter, a Fire and EMS Instructor, and a licensed AEMT, with 21 years of experience in EMS.
Harley strives to be a People Driven Leader who continuously seeks to empower others who are committed to service. His personal and professional life is guided by the Latin motto “Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam,” which translates to “I shall either find a way or make one.”
