First Responder Network Authority
Randy Kerr joined the First Responder Network Authority in October 2018 and is assigned to the Innovation and Investment Office as the Situational Awareness Domain Lead. His areas of responsibility include working with the various components of the FirstNet Central Portal (Uplift Request Tool, Network Status Map, FirstNet Assist app), and support for internal functional communities in the disciplines of Emergency Management and 9-1-1/Emergency Communications Centers. His public safety experience includes serving and retiring as a Law Enforcement Captain/Technical Services Division Commander responsible for a multi-discipline 9-1-1 public safety communications center in north Florida, as well as a variety of other operational and technical functions within the Sheriff’s Office. Prior to joining the FirstNet Authority, Randy also served as a communications SME supporting the Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program.
