Roxy Van Gundy is celebrating her 18th year in 911. Having served in all levels in both Kansas and Alaska PSAP's, she is proud to direct her home center in Lyon County Kansas for the past 5 years. Roxy is active in both APCO and NENA, working on several national boards and serves as the Co-Chair of NENA Wellness and the Co-Chair of NENA's Daily Operations Commitee. Active on the state level, Van Gundy also worked as the Kansas NENA Vice President, along with other members of Kansas NENA and Kansas APCO, to have Kansas 911 heroes recognized as emergency responders under law in 2021. Roxy enjoys speaking, writing and assisting on all 911 related topics and strives to make 911 a more welcoming and inclusive profession.
