Vivian Gonzalez is a dedicated public safety professional with over 23 years of experience in Communications with the San Jose Police Department in California. Rising through the ranks, Vivian has served in various leadership and supervisory roles before being promoted to Assistant Communications Manager in 2022.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental, Personality, and Social Psychology from San Jose State University, with a minor in Early Childhood Development, and a California POST Academy Intermediate Instructor certification, Vivian brings a unique blend of academic and practical knowledge to her work. Prior to her career in law enforcement, Vivian worked as a Pre-School Director/Instructor, showcasing her passion for education and early childhood development.
Vivian's extensive experience includes training new employees in the Communications Training Officer Program, as well as serving as a Tactical Commander/Dispatcher. She is trained in Crisis Intervention and has also received advanced training from the FBI in Crisis Negotiations. With a diverse background and a commitment to public safety, Vivian is a valuable asset to her community.
