For many public safety agencies, managing radio systems on limited resources is a challenge. This case study demonstrates the solution employed by the winner of the 2023 APCO International Technology Leadership Award; overcoming obstacles through clever system design. The presentation shows how other organizations can also benefit.
The agency faced the challenge of connecting multiple departments, which they resolved by implementing interoperability into their state-wide P25 Phase 2 Network with a Tait DMR T3 system. The successful project improved inter-agency communication and response times. This study highlights challenges faced, solution insights and how the system enhanced capabilities without vendor lock-in.
